Qianxi County has a thousand-year chestnut cultivation history and a century-old export history. Chestnut products are sold to more than 170 large and medium-sized cities in China and more than 20 countries and regions including Japan and South Korea. The county's chestnut planting area has reached 700,000 acres, with 40 million plants and an annual output of 35,000 tons. The chestnut industry has become a "green bank" for Qianxi farmers to increase their income and become rich. Qianxi chestnuts were exported to Japan even before the founding of the People's Republic of China. In June 1990, Qianxi chestnut was designated as a trademark product by the 11th Asian Games Organizing Committee, the Ministry of Forestry, and the Ministry of Agriculture.

In 1998, Qianxi Chestnut was rated as one of the "Top Ten Characteristic Regional Famous Brand Products" by the Hebei Provincial People's Government. In March 2008, "Qianxi Chestnut" was recognized as a well-known Chinese trademark by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. Became the first geographical indication well-known trademark in my country's chestnut industry.

In 2008, Kuancheng chestnut represented by "Shenli" obtained national organic food certification, geographical indication of origin certification and Japanese organic JAS certification. In February 2010, it obtained the geographical indication certification with the trademark "Kuancheng Chestnut". In March, it obtained the EU EC organic product certification and the US NOP "100% organic" product certification. The "Century Golden Chestnut" trademark has been registered with the State Administration for Industry and Commerce? "Kuancheng Chestnut" is moving towards becoming an internationally renowned brand.
