Former U.S. President John F. Kennedy delivered the "Special Presidential Message on Protecting Consumer Interests" to the U.S. Congress on March 15, 1962, proposing for the first time the famous "Four Rights" of consumers. That is: the right to obtain safety protection; the right to obtain correct information; the right to make free decisions; the right to put forward consumer opinions. These four rights proposed by Kennedy have since been gradually recognized by consumer organizations around the world and become the most basic work goals.
