Under the current technical conditions, quantum mechanics can only be observed on a very microscopic scale, such as electrons or atoms. Basically, materials with a size of nanometer or less will exhibit quantum effects. Macroscopically, although there is a quantum effect, it is too inconspicuous to be observed.

Skin care is a macro-scale thing. Even if you talk about transdermal absorption and stratum corneum all day, it looks a few tens of microns, which is very small. However, it is far from the scale of quantum effect. This is very similar to the lithography technology of making chips. In the process of micron and tens of nanometers, quantum effect is basically not considered. Therefore, unless we can protect the skin on a micro scale, such as removing melanin molecules at a fixed point, or directly killing acne vulgaris with ion beams, we really don't need any quantum technology. Quantum skin care also has a regulatory and safety issue. According to the knowledge of cosmetics industry, materials with the size below 100 nm will be defined as nanomaterials, which are prohibited from being used in skin care products due to their potential toxicity.
