Since the musical instrument manufacturer Fanta acquired Aurisonic, an American professional monitor headphones company, an audio design laboratory department was set up to create career-oriented monitor headphones products for professional performers. After experiencing the FX product line in Pokemon, the second generation product was launched in the second half of last year, and the monomer composition was expressed in an easy-to-understand way. This time, I borrowed the current secondary flagship headset TEN-5.

In the Aurisonic era, the predecessor of ADL, they can be said to be pioneers in mass production of headphones by using 3D printing at that time, and they were also rare brands of customized headphones that used moving-coil monomers at that time. Of course, the 3D printing technology at that time was not as mature as it is now, and Aurisonics' transparent shell products had a unique hazy feeling. As the core member of ADL is Aurisonics' team, the characteristics of mass production of earphone shells through 3D printing are still preserved in ADL.

The naming method of Fanta generation can be said to be simple and easy to understand. The English number represents the diameter of the moving coil, and the Roman number behind it represents the number of balancing armatures. TEN-5 evaluated this time is a 10mm HDD moving coil monomer with five balanced armature monomers. According to official data, the 10mm moving coil adopts full range setting. The five balanced armatures have two intermediate frequencies and three high frequencies, which can reach the frequency response of 9Hz-2 1kHz, and the sensitivity is11/db.

As the second generation professional earphone product of ADL, it can be said that it has changed the design of FX product line before. For example, the previous flagship earphone FXA9 still maintains a pure balanced armature, and the secondary flagship FXA7 uses a double balanced armature with a 9.25mm moving coil. In addition to the entry-level pure moving-coil earphone 9, this generation has adopted a mixed setting of coil and iron. The flagship product Thieten-6 is the only product that uses 13mm moving coil monomer. As for 10mm monomer, besides Ten-5, Ten-2 is positioned as the successor of FXA7.

When I opened the package of 10 -5, I couldn't help feeling that it was also oriented to advanced monitoring. The packaging of monitoring products in the embryonic stage of in-ear headphones more than ten years ago is not the same as that day. Even Westone's UM 1 is just a bare-metal earphone with a pair of Comply sponges. In addition to the excellent black packaging, TEN-5 also comes with a waterproof storage box, complete memory silicone earplugs and sponge earplugs.

The appearance of TEN-5 is a typical customized earphone design. The shell of 3D printing is dark black, while the side plates are pure black. This time, Silverburst is evaluated. However, unlike most customized headphones, the side plates of TEN-5 are colored, the side plates of TEN-5 are painted on the original black material, and the screws are shiny. The bolt is embedded in 2Pin, but there is no foolproof groove in the groove of the bolt.

In addition, the filter structure of Fender TEN-5 is different from FX generation, and it is integrated with the inner frame through 3D printing. TEN-5 uses a metal sound filter, and the inner tube is close to the thin tube of Westone and Shure, but the front end is still the common thick tube width. As for earplugs, it is a memory silicone earplug like the rocket earphone launched by Aurisonic in the group recruitment. Its unique material characteristics fit the ear better than ordinary silicone earplugs when heated.

The processing of the original wire is similar to the strong wire used in the original rocket earphone of the Qunsheng platform, and a layer of soft glue is covered on the inner woven isolation layer. According to Rocket's previous publicity photos, the wire itself should be able to withstand considerable tension, but the pin part should be careful to avoid strong side impact. In addition, the pin has the trademark of the fender, which is used to verify the original parts of the fender.

The catheter angle of TEN-5 doesn't just interfere with the author's ear shape, as some European and American brands customize headphones. For example, the Noble, Earsonic, and 64 Audio I wore before did not fit the author's ear shape. Although the unique thermoplastic silicone earplug feels a little sticky, it does have its advantages in wearing feeling and sound insulation. Using a filter screen that is actually a thin tube should not be uncomfortable for most people, but the wire is thick, and sometimes the stethoscope has obvious effect.

The sound performance is very different from the ASG- 1 and EVA I heard many years ago in Aurisonics era. At that time, although the pure moving coil monomer was used, the rough American timbre lacked a little reverie of listening to the sound, but the sound of the tenth-fifth was unusually calm, with delicate human voice, full but not so full low-frequency speed, showing a cold style, and the phoneme was slightly open.

However, compared with Sony's M-series in-ear monitor headphones, TEN-5 obviously makes the sound thinner, which seems to intentionally let the listener focus on the details of a specific sound. However, the backward sound, APE air pressure equalization technology, has less low frequency and can be used for a long time, which is suitable for ethnic groups who can obviously feel the changes in details but want to listen for a long time. Suitable for professional monitoring or personal appreciation.
