What are the three main types of font changes?
First, the shape has changed.

The shape of Chinese characters is basically square, so the shape change of Chinese characters is most suitable for rectangle, oblate square or oblique square.

Circular, trapezoidal, triangular and other shapes have poor recognizability because they violate the characteristics of square characters and reduce recognizability. Therefore, long-term deformation design is generally not done, and it is usually used in logo, trademark language and so on.

Chinese characters can be arranged and changed in terms of shape changes. In addition to horizontal and vertical rows, they can also be arranged in oblique rows, radial, wavy and fan-shaped rows. These arrangements have broken the dull and monotonous traditional format and achieved novel and vivid artistic effects.

Second, stroke changes.

Refers to thickening, thinning, deformation, addition and decoration. And process them on strokes.

The change of strokes mainly refers to the change of auxiliary pens such as skimming, grasping, picking and hooking. However, the main pen that plays an auxiliary role in the text generally changes little. Don't change the shape of strokes too much, and the overall style should be unified.

Third, structural changes.

In order to make the font design produce novel, unique and diversified effects, in the creative design of fonts, the drawing habit of "strict structure, uniform white cloth and stable center of gravity" of standard fonts can be broken.

We can exaggerate or reduce part of the structure of a word, or we can move the strokes of a word, change the center of gravity of the word, and increase or decrease the strokes on the premise of ensuring readability. This change destroys the original structure and appearance of Chinese characters on a certain basis, which is not suitable for long-length design.
