Li Ning (September 8, 1963-) is a famous Chinese gymnast, a native of Liuzhou, Guangxi (Zhuang ethnic group). When he was 10 years old, he participated in the national youth gymnastics competition for the first time and won the first place in the floor exercise at the age of 14. At that time, he participated in the national gymnastics competition and won the second place in floor exercise. In 1980, he was selected into the national training team and won the title of Sportsman in 1980. In 1984, the International Sports Federation named two new difficult movements after the "ring Li Ning swing" and the "parallel bars Li Ning giant loop". In March 1991, Li Ning founded a gymnastics school in Foshan, Guangdong. Li Ning was elected as the principal of the school and enrolled more than 30 students in the first batch. Li Ning has invested an estimated 30 million yuan in this school. He is also a member of the 2000 Olympic Games Bidding Committee.
He is one of the fourteen outstanding people in the world. At the end of April 1987, Li Ning attended the International Olympic Committee Athletes Committee meeting in Hungary.
