March 15th every year is the "International Consumer Rights Day", which was decided by international organization of consumers unions in 1983. Its purpose is to expand the publicity of consumer rights protection, so as to attract worldwide attention, promote cooperation and exchanges between consumer organizations in various countries and regions, and better protect consumer rights internationally.

it was first established in 196 by consumers in five countries, namely, the United States, Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands and Australia, which was an independent, non-profit-making and non-political world consumer alliance. Then, on March 15th, 1962, President Kennedy of the United States delivered the "Presidential Special Address on Protecting Consumers' Interests" in Congress, which was first put forward in the official name, including four rights of consumers: "The right to obtain security, the right to obtain correct information, the right to freely decide on choices, and the right to put forward consumer opinions.

Kennedy's move was gradually recognized by consumer organizations all over the world and regarded as the most basic work goal. In 1983, the National Consumers' Union finally designated March 15th as the International Consumer Rights Day, and since then, 315 holidays have continued.

After China Consumers Association joined international organization of consumers unions in September, 1987, every year on March 15th, International Consumer Rights Day, consumers all over the country are organized to hold large-scale publicity and consultation service activities of International Consumer Rights Day, which are colorful, powerful, influential and effective.
