Huawei’s Intellectual Property Department was established as early as 1995. Since 2000, Huawei's domestic patent applications have doubled every year, exceeding 2,000 in 2004. In terms of foreign patent applications, the cumulative number of PCT applications or foreign patent applications has exceeded 600, and the number of domestic and foreign trademark applications has also exceeded 600.
