British Trademark Law stipulates that if a trademark is used infringingly in the UK without the owner's consent, the holder of a British registered trademark has the right to request that the person stop the trademark infringement and claim compensation in accordance with the law. The validity period of the UK registered trademark held by the applicant is calculated from the date of filing the application. If trademark infringement occurs during this period, the British registered trademark holder must not file an infringement lawsuit until the trademark is successfully registered.
