Benefits of copyright protection
Copyright protection can effectively prevent infringement and piracy and promote the healthy development of the cultural industry. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, with the in-depth implementation of the Copyright Law, copyright administrative departments at all levels have continuously strengthened their awareness of copyright service, innovated service methods and increased service contents.

Copyright protection not only creates a good public opinion atmosphere of respecting knowledge, labor and innovation in the whole society, but also improves the copyright protection situation in China, constantly optimizes the copyright ecological environment, and plays a positive role in promoting the construction of an innovative country and a strong intellectual property country.

The National Copyright Administration has established 17 national copyright trading centers and bases, 10 national copyright demonstration cities, 74 national copyright demonstration units and 24 national copyright demonstration parks. At the same time, the continuous investigation of the contribution rate of copyright industry to the national economy provides a scientific basis for promoting the development of copyright industry.

According to the report data, the added value of copyright industry in China in 20 12 years was 35,6741500 million yuan, accounting for 6.87% of the national GDP. Three years later, in 20 15 years, this figure has exceeded 5 trillion yuan, reaching 500541400 million yuan, accounting for 7.30% of the national GDP. This set of data shows that the proportion of China's copyright industry in the national economy is increasing year by year and has become a new engine of economic development.

The Establishment and Development of Copyright System in China;

China is a great eastern country with a civilization history of 5,000 years. As early as the Southern Song Dynasty, the words "no reprinting" and "all rights reserved" appeared in the printed version. 19 10, the Qing dynasty promulgated the first copyright law in China, the copyright protection entered the legal system for the first time. Regrettably, this law, like the copyright law later enacted by the government of the Republic of China, was a dead letter and failed to pass.

After the founding of New China, with the arrival of a new upsurge of cultural construction, the copyright cause of New China has also begun to explore. As soon as the people's congress system was established, the drafting of copyright law was put on the agenda.

1955 A drafting group of copyright law headed by Hu Yuzhi, the first director of the General Administration of Publishing in New China, was established to formulate the copyright law. From 65438 to 0957, the drafting of the Interim Provisions on Copyright Protection of Publications (Draft) was completed, but it was shelved for 24 years due to historical reasons.

1979 1 Deng Xiaoping, then vice premier of the State Council, led a high-level delegation of the China government to visit the United States. When China and the United States negotiated the Sino-US High Energy Physics Agreement, they were deadlocked because of the copyright issue raised by the United States. The central leadership realized that the opening of copyright to the outside world was a big problem.

1979 In April, a report on drafting a copyright law and applying for joining an international copyright convention was sent to Hu Yaobang, Secretary-General of the Central Committee and Minister of Propaganda. Comrade Hu Yaobang gave instructions: "If you agree to the report, please start work quickly, organize a team and draft a copyright law." Drafting of copyright law in China resumed.

After 10 years of hard work and overcoming many difficulties, the 15th meeting of the 7th the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) deliberated and passed the Copyright Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) with 1990, which came into effect on June 199 1. Subsequently, in order to meet the needs of China's accession to the WTO, it was revised, and amendments to the copyright law were passed in 200 1 and 1.

Since the promulgation and implementation of copyright law for more than 20 years, it has played an increasingly obvious role in promoting economic development, cultural prosperity and scientific and technological progress. In June 2008, the State Council promulgated the Outline of National Intellectual Property Strategy, which promoted intellectual property protection to a national strategy.

The 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly put forward the strategic goal of "improving the ability of independent innovation and building an innovative country". The Sixth Plenary Session of the Seventeenth Central Committee particularly emphasized "strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights, punishing infringements according to law, and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of copyright owners". It is these major decisions of the party and the state that have promoted the perfection of the copyright system and the development of the copyright cause.
