1. After the trademark expires, the trademark registrant needs to go through the renewal procedures in accordance with the regulations within 12 months before the expiration. If it is overdue, it can be given a grace period of up to six months. With the approval of the Trademark Office, the trademark registrant will continue to have the exclusive right to use the trademark.

The period of validity of a registered trademark is ten years, counting from the date of approval of registration.

If a registered trademark needs to be used continuously after its expiration, the trademark registrant shall go through the renewal procedures in accordance with the regulations within 12 months before the expiration; If it fails to be handled during this period, a six-month extension period may be granted. The validity period of each renewal registration is ten years, counting from the day after the last expiration of the trademark. If the renewal formalities are not completed at the expiration of the period, the registered trademark shall be cancelled.

2. What materials are needed for trademark registration

1. An Application for Trademark Registration. If a trademark agency organization is entrusted to handle it on its behalf, a copy of the Trademark Agency Power of Attorney shall also be submitted;

4. To apply for a collective trademark and a certification trademark, the applicant's subject qualification certificate of the collective trademark and the certification trademark and the trademark use management rules shall also be submitted;

5. Where a portrait of a person is used as a trademark to apply for registration, a power of attorney from the portrait owner must be provided and notarized by a notary office.
