How to choose pesticides
Due to the wide variety of pesticides, each pesticide has its own suitable control object. Therefore, before buying pesticides, we should carefully read the labels of pesticides, accurately understand the performance of each pesticide and the best control targets, and choose the appropriate pesticides.

First, look at the name on the pesticide label.

Pesticides produced from July 1 2008 no longer use commodity names, but only use generic names or simplified generic names of pesticides. Pay special attention to whether the active ingredient, content and dosage form marked below the pesticide name are clear before buying. Do not buy pesticides without the active ingredient name and content.

Second, look at the scope of application on the pesticide label.

According to the diseases and weeds of crops that need to be controlled, choose pesticides that are consistent with the applicable crops marked on the label. If there are several pesticides to choose from at the same time, it is necessary to give priority to the pesticides with low dosage, low toxicity, less residue and good safety. It is forbidden to use highly toxic and residual pesticides in the production of vegetables and fruit trees.

Third, look at the production date and expiration date on the pesticide label.

Pesticide labels are generally marked with production date and batch number, and pesticides without production date cannot be purchased. At the same time, the pesticide label should also indicate the expiration date, and it is not allowed to buy pesticides that are not within the expiration date and shelf life.

Fourth, look at the appearance and content of pesticide labels.

Generally, the labels or instructions of qualified products are clearly printed and complete, including pesticide name, scope of application, active ingredients and content, dosage form, pesticide registration certificate number, pesticide production license number, enterprise name and contact information, production date, product batch number, quality, product use, instructions for use, toxicity identification, precautions, storage and transportation methods, etc.
