1. Operation requirements
The slope of the ramp must be greater than or equal to 10 degrees, and the length of the steep slope to take the C1 driver's license test must be greater than or equal to 20 degrees. During the test, after the student stops on the steep slope, You must start within 30 seconds, otherwise it will be considered a failure.
2. Operation steps
1. Lightly tap the accelerator and slowly release the clutch;
2. The car body shakes, release the handbrake and apply a little oil at the same time;
3. Release the clutch slowly once you start.
3. Operation skills
1. Shift into first gear, turn on the right turn signal, lean the vehicle to the right, and observe the right rearview mirror. When the right side of the car body is within 30CM of line 6 (as shown in the picture above), return to the forward direction and lightly step on the accelerator to keep driving straight at 1500 rpm.
2. Observe the left rearview mirror. When line 1 and the lower edge of the left rearview mirror are in line with your eyes, depress the clutch and release the accelerator. When the center of line 3 and the lower edge of the left rearview mirror are in line, When you are in line with your eyes, apply the brakes, tighten the parking brake, and park in place.
3. Turn on the left turn signal and slowly lift the clutch. When the car body feels shaking or the engine sound becomes dull, keep your left foot still and slightly loosen the clutch with your left foot to reduce the speed to 1500 rpm/ When the time is right, slowly release the handbrake, the car will start to move forward, and the hill start is completed.
4. Wait for the car to completely go uphill, release the accelerator, turn off the turn signal, and go downhill smoothly, the operation is completed.
IV. Special attention
1. Take three steps before going uphill.
Go up the ramp and look at the right 1/3 point of the front of the car to align with the sideline. Return the car body to the straight line and keep driving in a straight direction.
The vehicle body is within 30CM from the sideline.
When the rear mirror is aligned with the parking line, the bumper will be exactly on the parking line.
2. Slowly lift the clutch. When the car body feels shaking or the engine sound becomes dull, stop with your left foot and lightly step on the accelerator with your right foot. When the speed is close to 2000 rpm, keep your right foot still. , loosen the clutch slightly with your left foot, and when the speed drops to 1500 rpm, slowly release the handbrake, and the car will move forward.
3. Never step on the clutch or accelerator when driving on slopes.
5. Precautions
(1) Control the vehicle speed
When parking at a fixed point on a slope, the vehicle speed should be slightly faster before going uphill so that the car Use a little momentum, otherwise you won't be able to go up the slope. After the rear wheels go uphill, you should immediately reduce the speed and make the car drive slowly. Otherwise, if the vehicle speed is too fast, firstly, it will be too late to adjust the relative position of the vehicle and the sideline; secondly, it will be too late to stop at the reference point.
(2) Select a good reference point
① If you want to keep the right distance between the car body and the right line during fixed-point parking of the right front wheel reference point, you must know the position of the right front wheel. Location. Because the driver cannot see the right front wheel in the car, he can only look for a certain point on the car for reference. For ordinary Santana cars, generally speaking, after sitting on the seat, the ground you see from the center of the front of the car is probably where the left edge of the right wheel is about to reach. Some cars have a trademark trim in the middle of the front of the car, and the root of this trim just marks the center of the front of the car. However, most cars do not have this decoration on the front of the car. You can stick a piece of colored tape or tape paper in the middle of the front of the car first, and then tear it off after you become familiar with it. Alternatively, you can choose a reference point at the appropriate position of the wiper and use it to replace the point in the center of the front of the car. Under normal circumstances, there is a curved protrusion on the wiper lever. The highest point of the curved protrusion on the left wiper is just on the line connecting the eye and the center point of the front of the car. From the highest point of this curved protrusion, everything can be seen. The ground you see is the left edge of the right wheel.
②Front bumper reference point If you want the bumper to be exactly aligned with the pole after parking, you must find the reference point accurately.
This reference point is generally at the first section on the left side of the right wiper, that is, when the driver sees that the first section on the left side of the right wiper is aligned with the pole, the parking position is just right.
It is worth noting that everyone has different body shapes and different seats, so there will always be deviations. In addition, even for cars of the same model, there are differences in parts specifications due to different production years, batches, manufacturers, or various other special reasons. Dogma cannot be followed rigidly and should be determined based on actual conditions.
(3) Actions must be coordinated
When starting on a slope, the clutch, accelerator pedal and parking brake lever must be coordinated. The timing of relaxing the parking brake lever is critical. If it's too late, the car won't start and the engine will stall; if it's too early, the car will roll backwards. This timing is the skill that needs to be mastered when the clutch pedal is raised to half linkage: first, listen to the engine sound; second, feel the body shaking; third, watch the tachometer pointer tremble and move downward.
