The branches of legal history include: the history of legal thought in China, the history of foreign legal thought, the history of legal system and other legal history disciplines; The branches of departmental law include: constitution, administrative law, administrative procedure law, civil and commercial law, economic law, civil procedure law, criminal law, criminal procedure law, military law, etc. The branches of international law include: public international law, private international law, criminal international law, economic international law, environmental international law, intellectual property law and other international law disciplines.

Subject scope

(1) legal theory. This major focuses on the value of justice, studies the theoretical framework, general principles and basic concepts applicable to all departments, and makes theoretical exploration and summary for governing the country according to law and building a socialist country ruled by law.

(2) legal history. This major is to study and introduce the legal system and legal culture existing in human history, so as to sum up historical experience, inherit legal civilization and provide historical reference for the development of modern society.

(3) Constitution and administrative law. This major focuses on the study of Constitution, administrative law and its phenomena and development laws, which can provide theoretical guidance for the orderly operation of state power and the effective protection of civil rights.

(4) criminal law. This major is to study the basic theory and system of crime and punishment, as well as the provisions of various specific crimes, and to serve the construction of the national criminal rule of law.

(5) Civil and commercial laws (including labor law and social security law). This major is to study the general principles of civil law, contract law, property law, personality right law, tort liability law, marriage law, inheritance law, labor law, social security law, company law, insurance law, negotiable instrument law, maritime law, bankruptcy law, securities law and other civil and commercial theories and various civil and commercial legal systems, and provide theoretical guidance for China's civil and commercial legislation, justice and lawyer affairs.

(6) procedural law. This major studies criminal procedure law, civil procedure law, evidence law, execution law, arbitration law, notarization law and judicial system, with procedural justice as the highest value goal.

(7) Economic law. This major is to study the basic theories of economic law, such as the concept and value, economic legal relationship, economic responsibility system, and specific systems such as anti-monopoly law, fiscal and financial law, and tax law.

(8) Law on the Protection of Environment and Resources. This major is a new frontier discipline, which takes the laws, legal phenomena and related issues in environment, resources and ecology as the research objects, and studies the legal adjustment of the relationship between man and nature and related interpersonal relationships.
