As far as the relationship between a trademark and the goods it uses is concerned, only one kind of goods can be applied for trademark registration. Where the same applicant uses the same trademark on different kinds of goods, it shall apply for registration according to the classification table of goods. Where a registered trademark needs to be used on other goods of the same category, a separate application for registration shall be filed. This is the single principle of trademark registration.
Cars, tobacco and pencils all belong to different kinds of goods under the same trademark.
