This is where appstore recommends nearby certified programs based on your location.

It can be turned off through the following steps:

1. Click on Settings

2. Click on General

3. Click on General handoff and recommended apps

4. Just close My Apps and the App Store (as shown in the picture)

This is a new feature added to the Apple system after iOS 8. It will show relevant applications in the lower left corner of the iPhone lock screen based on your geographical location.

For example, if you are in a Starbucks coffee shop, the Starbucks icon will appear in the lower left corner of the lock screen. In Apple retail stores, shortcuts to Apple Store official apps will appear.
