How to choose veterinary drugs?

(1) Look for “veterinary use”. The words "veterinary use" or "veterinary drug" must be marked in a conspicuous position on the outer packaging, labels or instructions of veterinary drugs.

(2) See "Instructions". The outer packaging box or the instructions inside the box of the veterinary drug clearly indicate the brand name, veterinary drug name, company name, highly toxic or external drug label, usage and dosage, adverse reactions, precautions, drug withdrawal period, packaging specifications, drug contraindications, and storage conditions , validity period, etc.

(3) Identify the "document number". Veterinary drug products must be marked with an approval number, and the approval number is generally valid for 5 years.

(4) Know the "batch number" and "expiry date". The product batch number generally consists of two digits of the month and day of the production time plus the production batch. A considerable number of veterinary drugs also have expiration dates or expiration dates.

(5) Check the "certificate". After unpacking the outer packaging of the veterinary drug, pay attention to check whether the inner packaging box (bag) is accompanied by instructions and printed with the company's special seal for quality inspection, the signature of the quality inspector, and the product quality certificate.

(6) Check "encapsulation". Check the plastic bags and glass bottles used in the inner packaging of veterinary drugs. If colorless plastic bags are used, they are prone to degradation and other deterioration, which is unqualified.
