Characteristic industries in An Deyu town
An Deyu Town vigorously develops the construction of green garlic base, and has built standardized garlic production bases mainly in Lindong Village, Yilin Village and Pingcheng Village, which have now spread to Youai and Hong Guang Town, and garlic industry associations and marketing associations have been established in towns and villages. The garlic obtained the use of the green food mark and registered the "An Deyu Red Seven Star" garlic trademark. The red seven-star garlic produced in the base is mainly sold to Yunnan, Guizhou and other provinces to grow commercial garlic. The garlic in this town is planted regularly all the year round 1 10,000 mu, with an annual output of 3.5 million kilograms of young garlic shoots and 5.5 million kilograms of young garlic shoots. The export rate is over 98%, and the per capita income is over 1 10,000 yuan, which has formed the scale effect of high-quality young garlic shoots and young garlic shoots bases inside and outside the province. In 2007, the garlic planting area in An Deyu Town was 10052 mu, which was higher than that in 2006. The production cycle of garlic is about 8 months (planted in September and harvested in May of the following year), and the average yield of garlic bolts per mu can reach 320 kg and 500 kg. In 2007, the production cost per mu was about 850 yuan. Garlic bolts are sold all over the province, and most of them, like the garlic base in Wenjiang District, are purchased locally by Yunnan businessmen and used as commercial garlic in Yunnan. Although the proportion accounts for 60%-80% of the total purchase of Yunnan merchants, it still does not fully reflect the brand advantage of "An Deyu Red Seven Star" garlic. In 2007, the sales of garlic seeds were sluggish, the purchase price was low and high, and then it was low. The purchase price in mid-May is 2.4-2.6 yuan/kg. At the beginning of June, the purchase price reached 3.2-3.4 yuan/kg. The final purchase price dropped to 1.2- 1.4 yuan/kg. Factors causing the price instability of garlic in 2007: (1) The price rose in 2007, but the purchase price of garlic was lower than that in 2006, which made farmers reluctant to sell their garlic, hoping to sell it after the price rose. However, from the perspective of the national market, the purchase price per kilogram is still higher than that of foreign markets, so merchants are in a wait-and-see state. Farmers don't do it, and businesses don't do it, which leads to a downturn in garlic sales in 2007. (2) Affected by the favorable garlic market in 2006, the planting area has been expanding and the output has been greatly increased, but the sales area is limited to Yunnan, Guizhou and other places, which makes the market supply and demand unbalanced and leads to the price drop. (3) Yunnan Province, the main consumer market, adjusted the agricultural industrial structure, and some garlic growers switched to other cash crops. In addition, there was no water when garlic was sown in 2006, and garlic seeds could not be sown, which led to the decrease of seed consumption and planting area and the backlog of garlic seeds. (4) Affected by the international market. Countries importing garlic adopt import quota restrictions and strict censorship, while the commercial garlic produced in Yunnan is mainly used for export, which makes its garlic export slow, and the new garlic output can only be digested in the domestic market, which also affects the purchase price of garlic. (5) Due to the production and operation mode of one household, some marketers buy green garlic at a low price (mainly used to harvest the seeds of garlic seedlings or young garlic bolts), which leads to chaotic sales market and irregular behavior, and affects the brand benefit of "Andeyu Red Seven Stars" garlic.
