If we analyze the domestic trademark system and development environment, I think trademark agency will remain a sunrise industry for at least 30 years. One of the most convincing evidences is that 98% of enterprises in China have not registered their own trademarks (globally), which makes China enterprises in a very passive position in the deadly international competition. Many of our trademarks have been registered abroad, but when our goods are sold internationally, they need to pay a large amount of trademark royalties to the trademark owners.
At present, the entry threshold of trademark agents in China is low, and the professional restrictions are not great. Basically, as long as you have the advantages of foreign language and grammar, anyone can do it. "It is necessary to get down to business as soon as possible." This industry is not as concerned as the lawyer industry, and the competition is not fierce. Moreover, agents can be employed for life, even if they retire, they can be employed as trademark consultants by other firms, universities, government agencies and large enterprises. I think trademark agency is a good one in the current employment environment.
First of all, the trend of global economic integration has basically taken shape, and every commodity is the result of the integration of various global resources. For example, the core patented technology of notebook computers may be American, the main components may be British, Japanese and Singaporean, the production technology and management standards are German, the manufacturing process is in China or Viet Nam, and the raw materials of products may come from countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America or even places you have never heard of, not to mention the logistics and sales networks all over the world. This reality requires a set of rules and standards that everyone should abide by. We all want to develop ourselves under this rule and standard. Undoubtedly, the most important and core of all rules and standards is the intellectual property system, and the trademark system is one of the most important components of the intellectual property system.
Secondly, judging from the current situation of trademark protection in China, as of 20 10, 12 and 3 1, more than 85% of enterprises in China have not owned their own trademarks, and most domestic enterprises are only OEM factories of foreign companies, which is very dangerous. Since China joined the WTO, a large number of international enterprises have flooded into China. Facing the fact that capital, technology and management are not competitive, China enterprises urgently need to change.
Thirdly, in recent years, the state has also significantly increased its efforts in policy support and legal system construction. As far as I know, in some areas, local governments and trademark management departments will give certain policy subsidies to newly registered trademarks. As a professional legal talent, trademark agents will have many development opportunities. As long as you have the hardware and software conditions and have received certain vocational training, you are expected to become an excellent trademark agent and realize your personal value.
In 2008, there were 698,000 trademark registration applications; In 2009, there were 830,500 trademark registration applications; 10 trademark registration application 1072000 pieces. By the end of 10, there were 8.295 million trademark registration applications, 5.628 million registered trademarks and 4.604 million valid registered trademarks in China, ranking first in the world (two-thirds of SMEs in China have no trademarks).
So there is still a lot of room for development and the prospect is very good.
Wish you success!
