Explore the Feng Bing factory
In 2008, Feng Bing moved from Xiaonan to Xi 'an winery.
The old school building in front of us is Feng Bing's workshop, which is the product of Soviet style in the last century. The milky yellow of the exterior wall will be melted by the sun, but fortunately there is no brain-dead aroma of saccharin factory and the rancid smell of phenol factory in summer.
Walking inside, I found that I had never left the 1990s. Grasshoppers jumped tirelessly in the weeds, and a whole row of stout phoenix trees could only be held by two people, with yellow workshops and warehouses on both sides. Far away, I saw a neat blue plastic basket piled up at the door of the production workshop, and my heart suddenly began to bubble. This endless soda water is about equal to my childhood ideal.
Look carefully, in fact, empty bottles are recycled. These empty bottles have to be cleaned for 40 minutes, disinfected and dried under the dual effects of edible alkaline water and high temperature, and can only enter the filling workshop after reaching a completely sterile state.
Almost settled in Xinjiang
When the factory director accompanied Goose Jun around, he said with a smile that this ice peak has almost become a brand of Xinjiang people.
1948, a boss doing business in Xinjiang, bought an advanced soda production equipment from Tianjin Soda Factory and planned to set up a factory in Xinjiang. When passing through Xi 'an, it was snowing heavily and the road was closed. Helpless, we can only do things on the spot. The equipment was left in Xi 'an, 195 1 year, and the first alkali plant in Xi 'an-Northwest Alkali Plant was built in Dongjie Racecourse. Later, the soda factory was nationalized and merged into Xi 'an Food Factory, becoming one of the six workshops.
At that time, people didn't have brand awareness, so the soda produced was called "soda". It was not until the late 1950s that it was named "Ice Peak".
The golden age that came quietly.
At that time, the ice peak was rationed by ticket, and only some state-owned units and hotels could enjoy it. It was not until the end of 1970s that the food industry began to recover that ordinary citizens had the possibility of contacting the ice peak.
But contact is mostly eye-catching. Around 1973, in the most exotic Bell Tower food store in Ann, exquisite cakes such as Shanghai White Rabbit toffee and Guan Sheng Garden New Zealand butternut shortcake are often placed on the ice peak of glass bottles, which look great.
This is not an exaggeration. Children never bite a 4-cent popsicle, but lick it bit by bit and suck it slowly. A bottle of 1 cent ice peak is "Gao Shuai's richest man" anyway.
In 1980s, soda water finally became a popular summer drink, and more than 20 beverage factories mushroomed in An Ru, Xi.
But some people still buy ice peaks. It's not very strong, but its pure water tastes like pure water, and its sweetness is the sweetness of large white sugar, which is not as sweet as high fructose syrup and artificial sweeteners. After falling down, returning to Gansu is a refreshing orange breath, which can promote happiness in such a hot summer.
1In the summer of 984, the sales volume in Feng Bing successfully exceeded 10 million. Every day, at the gate of Xi 'an Food Factory, No.55 South Alley, Lianhu District, individual vendors waiting for delivery can be discharged from the alley. In order to let everyone get the goods, all employees in the factory work in shifts and maintain the four production lines running 24 hours a day, but the demand is still in short supply.
Two years later, Feng Bing borrowed $800,000 and imported the most advanced equipment from Germany. One line can produce 10000 boxes a day. Then they set up 13 distribution points in the whole city, and wholesalers flocked to them, and their sales tripled in one breath.
At that time, the cinema was the biggest selling point in Feng Bing. Vendors selling ice-peak soda at the entrance of Guangming Cinema on South Street can smash the soda lid at the end of the day. They tasted the sweetness of making money and brought home the bacon.
This is a surge of emotion, as if Xi 'an, a huge city, is full of the sound of soda lids.

After entering the 1990s, the ancient city of Xi 'an began to glow with vitality. Young people wore jeans, wore a "Little Tiger" hairstyle and marched in the city with a four-speaker tape recorder on their shoulders. They go to the People's Theatre to watch Hong Kong and Taiwan martial arts films, and they can stay for one day without clearing the scene.
Bing Feng also thought that if he persisted for another ten years, he would be able to move towards the golden coast in the new century, but he immediately hit an iceberg.
In addition, all six sub-factories under Xi 'an Food Factory stopped production, except Bing Feng who took care of himself and wiped his ass for other factories.
Even on the first day of work after the Spring Festival in 1994, the factory didn't even have the funds to buy raw materials to start the market. Finally, the workers in the factory raised funds and donated enough money to make up the cost of raw materials, so that the factory could continue to operate.
Later, when the popularity passed, "Knight" and "Jin Meile" quietly withdrew from the market for various reasons. After considering the gains and losses, Coca-Cola also gave up the competition. The children who drank countless ice peaks in the summer vacation have grown up and started to look for the bottle of orange soda in their childhood memories. Sales in Feng Bing began to pick up slowly.

The voice of the new century
Can't kill the ice peak, make it stronger. In 2002, Pepsi established a factory in Xi 'an and invited Bing Feng to talk about cooperation. Bing Feng witnessed the Arctic Ocean, Chongqing Tianfu Coke and other brands being hidden in the snow after cooperation with foreign capital, and immediately stated: cooperation is possible, production lines must be separated, and glass bottles are not allowed. People agree with Pepsi.
With the blessing of big brands, I'm also a veteran, and Feng Bing is ready to make innovations. In 2008, after Bing Feng moved to Xi 'an Winery, he successively introduced new flavors of cans and Bing Feng, such as sour plum soup. A year later, the sales volume jumped from 60 million to 1 100 million.
Despite the introduction of cans, Feng Bing Party was divided into two factions. One school thinks that the ice peak glass bottle has the most feeling, and the can is a lack of faith and is purely "left"; Another school thinks that it is the pride of Bing Feng that it is easy to go abroad.
Anyway, the louder the sound, the better it sells.

When I turned to the corner of the conference room in Feng Bing factory, I found an interesting glass cabinet with empty bottles and some old photos of Feng Bing from the 1960s to the present, all of which are exploration series.
For example, in the 1970 s, Bingfeng also had litchi flavor, cantaloupe flavor, apple flavor, and even Bingfeng cola ... These flavors were very popular after they were introduced. But every peak season, the orange flavor is always in short supply, and finally we have to reduce the flavor and leave the production line to the most classic orange flavor.

Logo change
The ice peak logo was first designed by teachers of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. In the 1970s and 1980s, this sign was affixed to every ice peak bottle, and the pattern was a snow-white iceberg.
After 1990s, Qi Xin, an employee of Feng Bing factory, worked together to change the logo into a geometric line icon and printed it on the bottle. It is still pure white.
The third generation is color printing, which is what we are familiar with now.
Bottle body change
The earliest bottles were all straight, and when they were ground back and forth on the production line, they were easy to become flowers, which affected the appearance.
In the 1990s, two ribs with the same diameter were raised on the bottle. In this way, the bottle body can not be ground on the production line, and the bottle body is still crystal clear after edge grinding.
Capacity change
In the 1980s, the capacity of the ice peak was 250 ml, but there were often leftovers in the recycled empty bottles. So when designing a new bottle, the capacity was changed to 200 ml.
Knowing so many little secrets of the ice peak, I have a wonderful feeling when I walk out of the factory door.
When I was very young, the refrigerator air conditioner was still very expensive. There are always some round watermelons and a box of ice peaks under the bed. The first thing in the morning is to take a few bottles of ice peaks and put them in a cold water basin. Tap water is cool to the heart, the glass bottle disappears as soon as it enters the water, and the orange soda seems to be sealed in transparent ice cubes, which is particularly dreamy.
When I came back from crazy play outside, I didn't care to get dark at the moment, so I squatted down to catch the ice peak in the cold water basin. It's already cold, and the bottle is covered with small bubbles. I pried open the bottle cap and took a long drink. Numerous orange bubbles rushed into my mouth like waves and slid down my throat. The pleasant sensation brought by the spicy sound makes the body tremble again and again.
If the ice peak stopped production at that time, what drinks would be salvaged in the basin? What should I go with cold rice noodles, Chinese hamburger, barbecue, oil-sprinkled noodles and hot soup? Of course, there will be a lot of drinks, but fortunately it is an ice peak.
