Who is responsible for the compensation for the loss of the express parcel during delivery?
If the express parcel is lost in the delivery operation, the express company or courier needs to bear the responsibility for the loss of express delivery, as follows:

(1) Lost after express delivery, and unscanned orders shall be compensated by the recipient;

(two) if the express mail is not sent after scanning and sorting or is not lost at the transit outlets, it shall be compensated by the delivery outlets;

(3) If the express delivery is lost at the transfer outlets, the transfer outlets shall compensate for it;

(4) After the courier arrives at the destination, if it is lost after scanning and sorting, it will be compensated by the destination outlets;

(5) If it is lost during the express delivery, the courier will compensate.

When the courier service personnel deliver the express mail to the recipient, they are obliged to inform the recipient in person to receive and send the express mail; If the recipient can't sign for it himself, he can communicate with the recipient (sender) and use the collection method after permission. The courier service personnel should also inform the collector of the collection responsibility; Without the authorization of the recipient, the courier can't let others sign for him. The courier took a photo and signed for it, and put the parcel in the guard room without authorization, which eventually led to the loss of the parcel. The courier company should bear the liability for breach of contract and civil compensation.

Postal enterprises shall not be liable for the loss of certified mail due to one of the following reasons:

(1) Force Majeure, except that the mail of the insured certificate is lost due to Force Majeure;

(2) Natural attributes or reasonable wear and tear of the posted articles;

(3) The fault of the sender and the receiver.

Article 47 of the Postal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), postal enterprises shall compensate for the loss of vouched mail in accordance with the following provisions:

(a) if the insured mail is lost or completely damaged, it shall be compensated according to the insured amount; In case of partial damage or shortage of internal parts, the actual loss of the mail shall be compensated according to the ratio of the insured amount to the total value of the mail.

(2) If the uninsured vouched mail is lost, damaged or the internal parts are short, compensation shall be made according to the actual loss, but the maximum amount of compensation shall not exceed three times the charge; If the registered letter is lost or damaged, it shall be compensated at three times the charge.

Postal enterprises shall state the provisions of the preceding paragraph in the notices of business premises and the mail receipts provided to users in a way that can attract the attention of users.

Postal enterprises that intentionally or grossly neglect to cause loss of vouched mail or fail to fulfill the obligations specified in the preceding paragraph have no right to invoke the provisions in the first paragraph of this article to limit their liability for compensation.
