The date coding on bottle caps has been changed from 6 digits to 8 digits since 2000, such as "991201" to "20000101"; the production batch number has been changed from 4 digits to 6 digits, such as "99-01" to "2000" -01". The fonts for these numbers are also slightly thinner and narrower than before 1999.

2. Positive label

The changes in the official label of Moutai mainly started in 2001.

On June 13, 2001, the self-adhesive trademark was launched on the "Feitian brand" Moutai, and the "Five-star brand" Kweichow Moutai began to be used on August 9. On August 27, 2001, Moutai Group was officially listed. Since then, the factory name on the Moutai bottle has been changed from "Produced by Kweichow Moutai Distillery, China" to "Produced by Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd.".

3. Back label

Since 2000, Moutai’s back label has changed a lot and is very obvious. In 2000, the text on the back label of "Feitian Brand" Moutai liquor was changed from traditional Chinese to simplified Chinese, while the English reference content was retained; after 2005, the back label of "Feitian Brand" Moutai liquor was removed from English, completely consistent with the "Five Star" content.
