When the meat reached the front line, it was rotten and inedible, which led to the deterioration of soldiers' physique and the decline of combat effectiveness. Zhuge Liang was very anxious about this, but he couldn't think of a good way at the moment.

One night, Zhuge Liang walked out of the Prime Minister's mansion with two bodyguards anxiously, and unconsciously came to a local indigenous family. When the host saw a distinguished guest coming to the door, he asked his family to put wine and meat on the table to entertain the Prime Minister. Zhuge Liang picked up a piece of meat in the bowl and chewed it slowly in his mouth. This meat is not fresh, but it tastes delicious and has a lasting fragrance. Zhuge Liang was surprised and asked how it was done. How long did it last? The shopkeeper replied that it was invented by local people and called oily meat, which has been stored for more than a year. Hearing this, Zhuge Liang cheered secretly, got up and dragged the master and said, "Let's go to our army tent and teach the military chefs to cook oily meat." In this way, Zhuge Liang inadvertently succeeded in finding a solution to the nutritional supplement problem of soldiers in the army, restored the combat effectiveness of the troops and the physical fitness of the soldiers, and left a beautiful talk of Meng Huo's "seven escapes and seven verticals" in his later battle with Meng Huo.
