Chongqing Three Gorges Museum combines Bashu, Three Gorges, the rear area of the Anti-Japanese War, the United front and immigrant culture. Its predecessor was the Southwest Museum, and the building consists of the main hall, Baiheliang Underwater Inscription Museum, the headquarters of the League for the Defence of China and the Tushanyao site.

Chongqing Three Gorges Museum is located on the west side of Chongqing People's Square. Just above the main hall is a funnel-shaped circular dome, and the outer wall is made of blue glass and sandstone.
