Through consulting the materials, the author understands that the dispute about the ownership of Xinghua Village is mainly concentrated in three places, namely, Fenyang in Lvliang City, Shanxi Province, Guichi in Chizhou City, Anhui Province, and Fengxian in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province.
Looking through Du Mu Yearbook compiled by historian Miao Yue, the author did not find Du Mu's footprint in Shanxi. Du Mu spent two years in Chizhou. As the supreme ruler of Chizhou, he didn't run to the wilderness in the rain to look for wine. If this poem is written by Du Mu on his way from Huangzhou, Hubei Province to Chizhou, Anhui Province, that is, in September of Huichang four years, then it is inconsistent with "Tomb-Sweeping Day" in time.
Du Mu has passed through Fengxian County, Jiangsu Province three times, but since ancient times, Fengxian County has only one "Zhangxing Village" and has never produced wine. Due to insufficient evidence, three "Xinghua Village" with high voices were not selected. So, is the "apricot blossom village" in Du Mu's poems real or virtual? The author seems to have found the answer in the process of reading Tang poetry and Song poetry.
"Xinghua Village" is a very common word in Tang and Song poetry. "Xinghua Village, Xinghua Village, Yanghua Village, Xinghua Village, Langhua Village, etc." and "Xinghua Village, Yanghua Village, Langhua Village, etc.", in which "Xinghua Village" generally refers to the village where apricot flowers are in full bloom. Similar to the drawing method of Xinghua Village, the more common ones are Huangye Village, Lvyang Village, Chrysanthemum Village, Wei Hua Village and Sunset Village.
after careful taste, the artistic conception of these villagers is not worse than that of Xinghua village. However, due to Du Mu's reputation and the word "wine" in his poems, the trademark and ownership of "Xinghua Village" will cause heated debates. It is reported that Fenyang Winery and Guichi Winery have filed a lawsuit against the trademark of Xinghua Village. Macheng in Hubei and Nanjing in Jiangsu also insist on their own ownership of Xinghua Village. A villager in Anyang City, Henan Province even referred to "Xingyuan Village Wine" as "Xinghua Village Wine".
This kind of argument and lawlessness, while making people feel ridiculous and hateful, also reflects some China people's one-sided understanding of ancient poetry. When the ancients wrote poems and lyrics, they paid attention to implication and avoided directness. Especially in terms of village names and place names, they often replace them with natural landscapes, humanistic characteristics and even their own artistic conception. Therefore, the "apricot blossom village" in Du Mu's poems should be a village full of apricot blossoms that the poet saw or imagined.
