Historical origin of Huangyuan vinegar
Qinghai Huangyuan mature vinegar has a long history, which began in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 200 years. In the early years of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty, after Rob put down the rebellion in Tenzin, Tangjiaer (Huangyuan) was rehabilitated and the people's strength was renewed. The Qing government moved the "tea-horse market" to Tangar, so merchants gathered in Huangyuan area, and agriculture, animal husbandry and ethnic trade flourished again.

Tuanjia was originally a multi-ethnic mixed area such as Han, Tibetan, Mongolian and Hui. Influenced by herdsmen, local residents like to eat meat. Most people in pastoral areas live on meat and dairy products, so vinegar has become an essential ingredient for everyone. The sales of vinegar increased greatly, which naturally stimulated the development of vinegar brewing industry.

At the end of the Qing Dynasty, there were four most famous vinegar buildings in Huangyuan, namely: (Chen) Old Vinegar Building, (Ma) Horse Vinegar Building, (Jian Youcai) Simple Vinegar Building and (Lin Yourui) Forest Vinegar Building.
