Brief introduction of generator

Generator refers to mechanical equipment that converts other forms of energy into electrical energy. It is driven by water turbine, steam turbine, diesel engine or other power machinery, and converts the energy generated by water flow, airflow, fuel combustion or atomic nuclear fission into mechanical energy and delivers it to the generator, which then converts it into electrical energy.

Generators are widely used in industrial and agricultural production, national defense, science and technology and daily life. There are many forms of generators, but their working principles are all based on the laws of electromagnetic induction and electromagnetic force. Therefore, the general principle of its construction is to use appropriate magnetic and conductive materials to form a magnetic circuit and a circuit for mutual electromagnetic induction, thereby generating electromagnetic power and achieving the purpose of energy conversion.

Generators usually consist of stator and rotor end covers and bearings. Stator is composed of stator core, winding, frame and other structural components for fixing these components. The rotor consists of rotor core winding, retaining ring, center ring, slip ring, fan and rotating shaft.

The stator and rotor of the generator are connected and assembled through the bearing and the end cover, so that the rotor rotates in the stator and cuts the magnetic field lines to generate an induced potential, which is led out through the terminal and connected to the loop to generate current.
