Method:
1. The National Trademark Office will charge a fee of 300 yuan for individual registered trademarks. In addition, if you are registering as an agent, in addition to the Trademark Office charging a certain amount of agent service fees, you should choose the agency carefully at this time.
2. If you are in Beijing, you can go directly to the National Trademark Office and bring the corresponding materials to fill in the trademark application documents and submit them yourself. However, if you are in other provinces, you can only entrust a trademark agency to help you prepare trademark application documents, and then submit the trademark application documents to the National Trademark Office.
3. First of all, you need to conduct a trademark search to make sure that your trademark does not conflict with other people’s trademarks. Otherwise, you will not be able to register the trademark. At the same time, you need to prepare trademark application documents. You can make them yourself or have them produced by a trademark agency.
4. Afterwards, all materials will be submitted to the National Trademark Office. The National Trademark Office will take about 20 days to conduct a formal review: the National Trademark Office will check whether the documents and procedures for applying for trademark registration comply with legal regulations. If it complies with legal requirements, the examination agency will assign an application number, determine the application date, and issue a "Notice of Acceptance of Trademark Registration Application."
5. After that, you need to wait for about 6-8 months, because there is still a substantive review, that is, whether the National Trademark Office’s trademark registration application complies with the provisions of the trademark law (trademark prohibition clauses, no distinctiveness, existence of similar trademarks, etc.), a series of activities such as inspection, data retrieval, analysis and comparison, investigation and research, and decision to grant preliminary approval or reject the application. The National Trademark Office will issue a preliminary review announcement only after everything is qualified.
6. The National Trademark Office will issue the preliminary review announcement, and you can receive the registration certificate in about one month. If no one raises an objection to a preliminary approved trademark within three months from the date of publication of the preliminary approval announcement or if the objection raised is not established by the State Trademark Office, then the trademark will be registered and will become effective and the registration will be issued.
