At present, the veterinary drug market in rural areas is not very standardized, and the sources of veterinary drugs are complicated. If farmers are not careful, they may use fake drugs, inferior drugs, expired drugs or obsolete drugs. Therefore, farmers must be cautious when purchasing, using and preserving veterinary drugs. In order to increase farmers' knowledge of rights protection of veterinary drugs and protect the interests of farmers, we should pay attention to the following aspects when purchasing veterinary drugs.
(1) If you want to buy veterinary drugs from a veterinary drug store with a Veterinary Drug Business License, you should try to stay away from drugs with extremely low prices and simple packaging. When buying veterinary drugs, you must ask the merchants to issue a bill.
(2) identification packaging. On the outer packaging of veterinary drugs, the words "for veterinary use" or "veterinary drugs" must be marked in an eye-catching position with instructions attached, and the contents of the instructions can also be printed on the label. Labels or instructions must indicate the trademark, veterinary drug name, specifications, enterprise name, address, approval number and product batch number, highly toxic drug label, indicating the main components and contents of veterinary drugs, use, usage and dosage, side effects, indications, contraindications, expiration date, precautions and storage conditions. The label or instruction in the box should also be indicated. If it is not marked, it cannot be used as a veterinary drug casually. Check whether the veterinary drug production enterprise has passed the GMP standard of the Ministry of Agriculture and whether it has a biopharmaceutical production license. The label instructions of legal veterinary drug production enterprises should indicate the production license number, and any veterinary drug that is not marked or produced by an unapproved unit must be fake veterinary drug products.
(3) check the product approval number. First look at whether the product has an approval number, and then look at whether the format of the approval number is correct. Veterinary drug products must be marked with the approval number, and the production enterprises that have passed GMP certification should also be clearly marked. The validity period of the veterinary drug approval number is 5 years, and the original veterinary drug approval number will be invalidated upon expiration. If the approval number used exceeds the validity period, veterinary drugs are regarded as counterfeit drugs. Veterinary drug approval number must be in accordance with the unified numbering format stipulated by the Ministry of Agriculture. If the document number is used or replaced by other numbers, the product is regarded as a product without approval number and should also be regarded as a counterfeit drug.
Let's see if the approval number is within the validity period (the validity period is 5 years). If it is not within the validity period, it is an inferior veterinary drug. The four Arabic numerals marked in brackets in the approval number are the year when the approval number was approved. If the year marked with the production batch number (i.e. production date) should not exceed the approval year of the approval number plus five years.
① abbreviation of veterinary drug category. The category of pharmaceutical additives is abbreviated as "veterinary drug additive"; The categories of serum products, vaccines, diagnostic products, microecological products, etc. are abbreviated as "new words of veterinary drugs"; The categories of Chinese herbal medicines, Chinese patent medicines, chemicals, antibiotics, biochemical drugs, radioactive drugs, external pesticides and disinfectants are referred to as "veterinary drugs" for short.
② The year number is represented by four digits, that is, the year when the product approval number was issued.
③ The serial number of the province where the enterprise is located is represented by two Arabic numerals, which shall be stipulated and announced by the Ministry of Agriculture.
④ The serial numbers of enterprises are sorted by province, expressed by 3 Arabic numerals, and announced by the Ministry of Agriculture.
⑤ The variety number of veterinary drugs is represented by four Arabic numerals, and the drug approval number is stipulated and announced by the Ministry of Agriculture. The unified numbering format stipulated by the Ministry of Agriculture is: veterinary drug word (year number ×××× )××× drug factory number ××× variety number.
All veterinary drugs sold and used in China must be packaged and labeled in Chinese. The approval number of veterinary drugs can be found on the website of China Veterinary Drug Information. Website:.
(4) check the product specifications. See whether the specifications marked on the label are in line with the actual drug, mainly depending on whether the marked quantity is in line with the actual quantity.
(5) Check the implementation standards of veterinary drug products. Veterinary drug standards should implement national standards (Chinese Veterinary Drug Code, standards issued by the Ministry of Agriculture) or provincial local standards. If veterinary drug ingredients do not meet the national standards or provincial local standards, they are counterfeit drugs.
(6) Check the expiration date of veterinary drug products. Know the "batch number". Product batch number is a set of numbers or letters plus numbers used to identify "batch". Generally, it consists of two digits of the production time and the production batch. If there is no product batch number, it should be banned. A considerable number of veterinary drugs also stipulate the period of validity or expiration. The number of years of validity is counted from the date of production (based on the product batch number), and sometimes it is marked with a specific date, and the expiration date is mostly marked with a specific date. Those that exceed the validity period or have reached the expiration period are expired veterinary drugs, and should not be used again even if there is no visual quality problem.
(7) Check the certificate of veterinary drugs. After unpacking the outer packaging of veterinary drugs, it is necessary to check whether the inner packaging box (bag) is attached with instructions and product quality certificate. The certificate should have the special seal for enterprise quality inspection, the signature of the quality inspector and the packing date. Without a product certificate, it is not a regular manufacturer's product and cannot be used.
(8) Check whether it is a veterinary drug prohibited or eliminated by the state. Veterinary drugs prohibited from being used in the Catalogue for Abolishing Local Standards for Veterinary Drugs announced by the Ministry of Agriculture No.56 are fake veterinary drugs, and it is forbidden to buy or sell them.
(9) Check the "packaging" of veterinary drugs. Checking the internal packaging of veterinary drugs can also show whether the veterinary drugs are qualified. If it is packaged in plastic bags, pay attention to check whether the seal is tight; For glass bottle packaging, pay attention to check whether the bottle cap is sealed, whether there is looseness and crack, whether there is obvious pinhole in the bottle stopper, and whether there is crack or liquid medicine release; If the ampoule is used for packaging, pay attention to check whether the ampoule is clean, whether the head is round, and whether the handwriting printed on the ampoule is clear and complete. Veterinary drugs with any packaging problems cannot be purchased or used. Some drugs need to be sealed and stored away from light, such as tincture of iodine, cresol soap, formaldehyde, hydrogen peroxide, etc. If they are packaged in colorless and light-proof recycled infusion bottles, they cannot meet the storage requirements and cannot be used. By the same token, tablets and premixes that need to be stored away from light, if packed in colorless plastic bags, are prone to degradation and other deterioration phenomena, and are also unqualified. Check whether the boxed injection has broken or empty bottles, and whether the original powder medicine is insufficient in weight.
(1) Pay attention to the internal quality of veterinary drugs, such as whether there is caking in the package, whether the injection is abnormal or discolored, and whether the original powder is obviously damp. Identification of appearance quality of different dosage forms.
① tablets: the appearance should be complete and smooth, the color should be uniform, the hardness should be appropriate, there should be no spots and black spots, no breakage, stickiness, discoloration and no odor, otherwise it should not be used.
② powder injection: mainly observe whether there is bottle sticking, discoloration, caking, deterioration, etc. If the above phenomena occur, it cannot be used.
③ powder (including feed additives): the powder should be dry and loose, with uniform particles and uniform color, without moisture absorption, caking, mildew and stickiness.
④ water injection: the external liquid medicine must be clear and free from turbidity, discoloration, crystallization and bacteria, otherwise it cannot be used.
⑤ Chinese herbal medicine: mainly depends on whether it has moisture absorption, mildew, moth-eaten, rat bite, etc. If the above phenomena occur, it is not suitable to continue to use.
