The main difference between white and dark color of Jiudaomu is whether it has been processed or not. The unprocessed log is dark brown, while the processed Jiudao wood is lighter or even white. Jiudaomu alias is also called Dragon Tree, which means good luck. Generally, nine logs are made into dragon balls, and each ball has two symmetrical longan and a string of copper coins. Jiudaomu can be coiled into a deep red color because the oil secreted by the wooden bracelet oxidizes with the human body oil to form a red patina.
