Speaking of my life of raising ducks, I want to tell you a story about how leaders in my hometown supported me in raising ducks and my fellow villagers encouraged me to raise ducks.

Three years ago, with the desire to change the outlook of our family, my husband and I went out to work. People are in a foreign country and have no relatives. In addition, my husband and I did not have any skills, so we had to work hard at a construction site moving bricks and mud. After working hard there for half a year, the contractor ran away and didn't get a penny. Tired, angry and stubborn, I fell ill in a foreign country. There is no money for medical treatment; there is no travel expenses for returning home. In desperation, the two of us walked dozens of miles on the side of the national highway and said all kinds of good things to people before we got together in a truck and returned to our hometown in disgrace.

However, what no one expected was that just a few days after we returned home, comrades from the township family planning office came to my home and gave me a free physical examination. Knowing our family's actual suffering, they forced me to give me 100 yuan before leaving and repeatedly urged me to go to the hospital for treatment. During the treatment at Bagang Hospital, the director of the Township Women's Federation, the leaders of the Family Planning Office, and our village women's director also visited the hospital from time to time.

After I recovered and was discharged from the hospital, comrades from the Township Women’s Federation advised my husband and me to engage in family breeding based on my family’s actual situation. If there was no project, they introduced a meat duck breeding project from Xinzheng; if they lacked funds, they used their own wages to advance the first batch of duck seedlings, feed and medicine for me; they also invited masters from Xinzheng to teach me step by step Our meat duck breeding technology.

Finally, the first batch of 300 finished ducks was put on the market, the second batch of 500 finished ducks was put on the market, and the third batch of 600 finished ducks was also put on the market. We made nearly two thousand dollars. However, when we asked several times to return the funds they advanced, the director of our Township Women's Federation always said that we would wait until the breeding scale expanded in the future.

My meat duck breeding scale is getting bigger and bigger. Last spring, the director of the township women's federation and the leaders of the township government came to me again and encouraged us to further expand the scale of breeding, set up a meat duck breeding farm, and lead the neighbors to raise ducks and become rich. With their encouragement and help, my duck breeding farm was built.

Now, driven by our demonstration, more than 80 meat duck farmers have emerged in our village and several surrounding villages, raising more than 50,000 meat ducks in batches. The leadership of the township government guided and helped us establish the Bagang Meat Duck Breeding Cooperative. At the founding meeting of the Meat Duck Breeding Cooperative, I was elected as the person in charge of the cooperative and became the well-known "Duck Commander".

Nowadays, we have built a beautiful three-story western-style building. The folks all say that I am a capable woman, a goddess of wealth who leads the masses to become rich and well-off!
