Shanghai is the birthplace of my country’s national western medicine pharmaceutical industry. On July 26, 1911, Shanghai's first national capital pharmaceutical company, "Longhu Company" (later renamed "Zhonghua Pharmaceutical Company" in 1915, which is also the origin of the brand name "Zhonghua"), was born on Hankou Road. The "Dragon and Tiger" trademark also began its legendary journey of nearly a hundred years. In 1911, Mr. Huang Chujiu, the founder of Dragon Tiger, drew up his own prescription based on the ancient Chinese prescription "Zhuge Xingjun Powder" and started manufacturing "Rendan", using the "Dragon and Tiger" pattern as a trademark. The "Dragon and Tiger" trademark is a flying dragon flying in the clouds and mist on the left side of the circle, and a tiger ready to go on the right side. The two gods stared at each other and compared each other, vividly portraying a vigorous picture of a dragon fighting a tiger and never admitting defeat. Huang believes that "the dragon is the mascot and the tiger is the king of beasts", and naming it "dragon and tiger" means being invincible in the market competition in the future. The long journey of nearly a century has witnessed the rapid development of the "Dragon and Tiger" trademark. "Dragon Tiger" series products are distributed throughout China and exported to more than 80 countries and regions around the world. Since 1992, the "Dragon and Tiger" trademark has been continuously rated as a famous trademark in Shanghai by the Shanghai Administration for Industry and Commerce; in September 2000, the "Dragon and Tiger" trademark was recognized as a well-known trademark in China by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, and it is still a well-known trademark in Shanghai. It is the only well-known trademark in China in the pharmaceutical industry; in 2005, the "Dragon and Tiger" trademark was rated as the most valuable Shanghai old trademark in the Shanghai old trademark restoration and glory promotion event. In 2010, "Dragon and Tiger" will celebrate its 100th anniversary, and it will also be the day when the Shanghai World Expo will be held grandly. The "Dragon Tiger" brand will display the long history, culture and charming style of Shanghai's old trademarks to the people of the world with a new image that is constantly rejuvenating.
