Mr. Zheng graduated from the Computer Science Department of Sun Yat-sen University and holds an EMBA degree from Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University. He is currently studying in the international DBA program jointly organized by HEC Lyon in France and Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University ( Doctorate in Business Administration). In 1991, he entered the Computing Center of Guangdong Provincial Economic and Trade Commission. In 1993, he founded Labor Computer Software Company, focusing on hotel management software and developing the Maxima Hotel Management System. In 2000, he joined Ctrip.com and served successively as vice president and general manager of South China, and then vice president of marketing, in charge of nationwide marketing. In 2005, he received venture capital, founded the 7 Days Inn chain, and served as CEO.

In 2013, Mr. Zheng joined forces with He Boquan, a well-known entrepreneur, investor and former major shareholder of 7 Days, as well as famous investment institutions Carlyle Group and Sequoia Capital to establish the domestic multi-brand hotel group "Plateno Hotel Group" ”, serves as co-chairman of the group.
