Identify counterfeit cigarettes from six aspects
1. Identification from transparent paper
Transparent paper is the film used for cigarettes and is the packaging material for cigarette sticks and packets. , generally BOPP film, is a special film.
Real smoke: The transparent paper has high transparency from the outside, the plastic film is thin and bright, and the surface gloss is good. It feels smooth, soft and elastic when touched by hand. The film feels thin and closely adheres to the template paper inside. Very smooth together and moderately tight.
Fake cigarettes: Generally, transparent paper has poor texture, lack of transparency and smoothness, and uses a general film, which is thicker and not bright enough. The inner wrapping paper is also uneven. If you look at the cigarette box through the film, it will appear. It feels less transparent and feels sluggish when touched and pushed. If you touch it again after taking it apart, you will feel that the film is thicker and harder.
2. Identification based on color
For the same cigarette, pay attention to comparing the color of the cigarette boxes. If you compare the real and fake cigarette boxes, no matter how realistic the fake cigarette boxes are, they will not be the same as the real cigarette boxes. There is still a difference in color.
Real cigarettes: The surface of the carton is shiny, evenly colored, clear in printing, bright in hot stamping, and relatively bright.
Fake cigarettes: Generally, the hot stamping is dull, the coloring is uneven, the surface gloss is poor, and the printed fonts are blurred, etc.
3. Identification from shredded tobacco
Real cigarette: The shredded tobacco has natural color, good gloss, and oily feeling. Since the tobacco stem is not easy to burn and is easy to flameout, regular manufacturers use The tobacco stems are puffed.
Fake cigarettes: The cut tobacco is cigarette scraps or unprocessed inferior products. In order to confuse consumers, sulfur smoking and hydrogen peroxide decolorization are usually used. Although the cut tobacco appears yellow and bright, if you look closely, you will find the color of the cut tobacco. Darker, rougher surface.
4. Identification based on flammability
Real smoke: It has good flammability and will burn quietly after being ignited without extinguishing the flame.
Fake cigarettes: On the one hand, the uncoordinated ratio of chlorine and potassium contained in the cut tobacco affects the combustibility of the cigarettes; on the other hand, the stems in the fake cigarettes are not puffed, and there are stems and potassium inside. The stems are lumpy and often flame out.
5. Identification from the ash
Generally, after smoking, consumers will see the ash is white and think it is a good cigarette. In fact, this is also a misunderstanding. In fact, the color of cigarette ash is affected by the dryness of the tobacco leaves. When the tobacco leaves are dry, the ash will appear gray-white after burning. Otherwise, it will be darker and difficult to smoke.
To determine whether a cigarette is genuine or fake from the ash, you should observe during burning to see if there are more tobacco stems emerging from the shredded tobacco. When more tobacco stems appear, the cigarette may be fake.
6. Comparison of aroma and smoking taste
Real tobacco: Each brand of cut tobacco generally meets the standards of its corresponding grade. When sniffing genuine cut tobacco, there is an unpacking aroma and the natural taste of cut tobacco. The aroma and essence blend is noticeably softer and pleasant to smell.
Fake cigarettes: Counterfeiters cannot take into account the taste issue. Although the outer packaging of fake cigarettes comes in various shapes, the shredded tobacco of fake cigarettes is the same, and the taste of fake cigarettes is the same. After opening the package of fake cigarettes, you will feel obvious discomfort and irritation when sniffing them.
