DTS-ES is equivalent to adding a channel on the basis of 5.1 channels of DTS.
DTS-HD(High Definition) is mostly used in the next generation digital cinema, Blu-ray and HD DVD. The new coding format introduced by digital cinema system DTS is called DTS-HD. It is DTS++ format with more channels introduced by DTS after ES 6.1 channel. This DTS-HD is the official registered trademark name of DTS++.
HDMI (high-definition multimedia interface), also known as high-definition multimedia interface, is the first digital interface that supports all-digital high-definition, multi-channel audio and intelligent format and control command data transmitted on a single cable. The HDMI interface was initiated by Silicon Image American Crystal Company and jointly developed by a working group established by eight famous consumer electronics manufacturers such as Sony, Hitachi, Panasonic, Philips, Thomson and Toshiba. The earliest interface specification of HDMI, HDMI1., was published in December 22, and the highest version is HDMI1.3 specification released in June this year.
