According to the Chinese government website, according to the National List of Hazardous Wastes (202 1 Edition), hazardous wastes refer to solid wastes (including liquid wastes) with one or more hazardous characteristics, or solid wastes with hazardous characteristics that may have harmful effects on the ecological environment or human health and need to be managed according to hazardous wastes. Solid waste that is not clear about whether it has hazardous characteristics shall be identified in accordance with the standards and methods for the identification of hazardous waste stipulated by the state. Those identified as hazardous wastes shall be classified according to their main harmful components and hazardous characteristics, and managed according to the code "900-000-XXX" (XXX is the category code of hazardous wastes). Those wastes that are determined not to have hazardous characteristics are not classified as hazardous wastes. Generally speaking, the dust after shot blasting (metal surface derusting) should not belong to hazardous waste, but strictly speaking, it belongs to dust and should belong to illegal waste.
