Article 1 In order to strengthen the management of Chinese characters in society, promote standardization and make Chinese characters better serve the socialist modernization, these Measures are formulated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state and combined with the actual situation of this Municipality. Article 9 In any of the following circumstances, traditional Chinese characters may be retained or temporarily used:

(1) Reprinting, sorting and publishing classic books;

(3) Inscriptions on cultural relics and historic sites;

(4) Inscriptions by international friends and returned overseas Chinese;

(5) Calligraphy works of art;

(6) Names and packages of export commodities that always use traditional Chinese characters;

(seven) the plaque of cultural relics, calligraphy and painting, Chinese medicine and other shops founded before the founding of the People's Republic of China. Tenth Chinese characters that do not conform to the provisions of these measures shall be cleaned up and corrected within one year from the date of implementation of these measures.
