OPPO’s R series will no longer have new products, because R17, R19, and R21 were pre-empted by Huawei. Huawei applied to register R19 in 2016. Not only that, it also applied for the EU trademarks of R17 and R21. What’s interesting is that there is no R series among Huawei’s many series of mobile phone products. These trademarks registered by Huawei are valid until 2026. EU-registered trademarks only need to be registered once and can be used in the 28 EU countries. They are subject to trademark protection, revocation protection and priority provided by the EU. OPPO’s R series is no longer available. The new series OPPOReno replaces the R series.
