What is the application process of Egyptian trademark?
The process of applying for trademark registration in Egypt can be divided into review period, announcement period and objection period. The applicant submits the trademark application documents to the relevant departments, and the relevant departments review the legality of the submitted application documents, trademark drawings and power of attorney. If they meet the requirements, they will be awarded the application date and application number. If it does not meet the requirements, the applicant needs to rearrange the documents and resubmit them. Conduct substantive examination of trademarks that have passed formal examination, and examine whether trademarks can be registered according to relevant laws and regulations. For trademarks that fail to pass the examination, the examiner will inform the applicant and inform the reasons for rejection. Trademarks that have passed the examination will be announced in the trademark announcement. Anyone can raise an objection to the trademark within 3 months from the announcement period of the trademark. A trademark that has been challenged or ruled to be registrable, or a trademark that has no objection, shall be approved and issued with a registration certificate.
