Zhoushan bayberry shochu is a specialty of Putuo District, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. Zhoushan Yangmei Shaojiu has a long history. Ancient people used Yangmei Shaojiu hundreds of years ago to treat diseases. At present, the annual output of Zhoushan Yangmei Shaojiu is about 500 tons. Zhoushan bayberry shochu was awarded the National Geographical Indication Certification Trademark.
“Taste Zhoushan’s fresh seafood and drink Zhoushan Yangmei Shaojiu.” In Zhoushan, delicious seafood plus “Yangmei Shaojiu” has become a trend. For example, part of Zhoushan Heyuan Liquor Co., Ltd.'s bayberry shochu is sold to Shandong, Hubei and other places.
Zhoushan bayberry shochu is a green product that is loved by consumers. It can be used as wine for receiving guests, travel souvenirs for foreign tourists, and gifts for visiting relatives and friends.
In 2012, as recognized by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, "Zhoushan Yangmei Shaojiu" won the title of China's National Geographical Indication Certification Trademark.
