Shen County is located at the junction of Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces. It is the largest watermelon and vegetable production base in western Shandong. In 2000, our town was named a green food watermelon production base by the China Green Food Development Center.

Shenxian watermelon is a specialty of Shenxian County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province. Dongduzhuang Town is the leader in watermelon production in Shen County and is known as the No. 1 watermelon town in China. The main varieties include more than a dozen varieties in three series including Jingxin, Luqing, and Gift, which are exported to South Korea, Beijing, Shanghai, Shijiazhuang, Xinjiang, and the three northeastern provinces. Shenxian watermelon has obtained the National Geographical Indication Certification Trademark.

China’s current watermelon production areas are divided into two regions: north and south: in the south, Hainan Island is the main production area. Hainan Island is rich in watermelons all year round due to its unique climate; in the north, Shandong is the main watermelon production area. District, mainly concentrated in Dezhou, Liaocheng Shenxian and other places in northwest Shandong, among which Shenxian watermelon is the most famous.

Shandong Shen County is located at the junction of the three provinces of Hebei, Shandong and Henan. Dongduzhuang Town is the leader in watermelon production in Shen County and is known as the No. 1 watermelon town in China. Dongduzhuang Town is the hometown of the late nationally renowned labor model Zeng Guangfu. It borders Daming County in Hebei Province and Nanle County in Henan Province to the west. Watermelons have been grown in greenhouses since 1995, using three-film and one-membrane or four-film protected land cultivation. The current area has reached 80,000 acres, with a total output of 1 billion jins. The main varieties are Jingxin, Luqing, and Gift. Several varieties are exported to South Korea, Beijing, Shanghai, Shijiazhuang, Xinjiang, and the three northeastern provinces. In 2000, the watermelon produced in this town was awarded the title of green food by the China Green Food Development Center for its pollution-free, pollution-free and high quality. Green food watermelon has become the town's leading industry. In 2001, the town registered the "Xianguo" brand trademark, and the "Xianguo" brand watermelon has become the township business card of Dongduzhuang Town.

Shandong Shenxian Watermelon Wholesale Market is built in Duanwangzhuang, 2 kilometers south of the town government. The village is the largest watermelon producing area in Shenxian County, and it is close to Zhangying Highway, so the transportation is very convenient. In 2013, "Shenxian Watermelon" was recognized as China's National Geographical Indication Certification Trademark by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
