The Guangdong Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce announced the newly recognized and extended famous trademarks of Guangdong Province in 2006. 30 trademarks including "Jinhaiwan" and "Longguang" in Shantou City are on the list. So far, the city has 131 famous trademarks of Guangdong Province, accounting for nearly 10% of the total number of famous trademarks in the province, ranking second among prefecture-level cities in the province.

Among the 30 newly recognized famous trademarks, they are mainly distributed in industries such as clothing, cables, batteries, audio and video products, cosmetics, toys, and aquatic products.
