Zhenyuan Zengjiu was founded in Hongzhi period of Ming Dynasty (AD 1496), and it is an outstanding representative of Handan brewing culture. High-quality sorghum is used as raw material, wheat koji is used as saccharifying and fermenting agent, aged and fermented in mud pits for 6-9 days, and wine is distilled by slow fire. A set of special techniques such as picking wine according to the size and quality of hops, grading storage, low-temperature aging and natural aging are adopted, and then the finished product is obtained by careful blending, seasoning and tasting. Zhenyuan's wine-adding technology is exquisite and its style is unique. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the emperor Qianlong paid tribute to the imperial court, and the emperor Qianlong personally sealed "ten thousand wines are drunk without leaving". In 1915, Zhenyuan Zengjiu participated in the Panama World Expo held in San Francisco, USA, and won the gold medal, becoming an international brand famous at home and abroad. Inherited from generation to generation and living, it has distinct characteristics and has great influence in the local area, and is known as "the candy that can't be moved down".
After the founding of New China, Zhenyuan Zengjiu brewing technology, as an excellent national cultural heritage, has been effectively protected and highly valued by the local government, and its core technology and brewing technology have continued to this day. In 1999, the Ministry of Internal Trade recognized it as an "old Chinese brand". Zhenyuan Zengjiu, the representative product, has successively won the Silver Medal of National Quality Award, "Classic Brand of Chinese Wine Culture", "Famous Brand of China" and "Famous Trademark of Hebei Province", which has outstanding historical, cultural and scientific value.
