In China, in order to protect people’s health, food safety management is strengthened. The import procedures and market management regulations for imported food and beverages are relatively complex.

It is generally recommended to entrust an enterprise with existing food business qualifications and import and export rights in China to handle or cooperate with you.

Document preparation before customs clearance:

(1) Chinese label filing

China’s imported food and beverage dealers shall comply with China’s “General Standard for Food Labeling” and relevant regulations After preparing the following declaration documents, go to the local Commodity Inspection and Quarantine Bureau to obtain the form and apply: (You can entrust an import and export agent to apply)

The information required for filing Chinese labels:

1. Label Inspection and supervision filing form (application form)

2. Original foreign language label sample pictures (front and back label information);

3. Translation of the original foreign language label (front and back label information) Label information);

4. Chinese trademark design samples (front and back label information);

5. Certificate of origin for food and beverages;

6. Chinese dealer’s business license and phone number;

7. Foreign manufacturer’s company name;

8. Food and beverage samples (generally 3 to 10 packages/bottle each; Sometimes more packages/bottles will be drawn as needed)

9. Other information required by the **** department of the State Administration for Commodity Inspection.

After the above information is complete, when the goods arrive and declare for customs, submit the Chinese label to the local Commodity Inspection Bureau for record;

Or go to the Commodity Inspection Bureau accredited agency to do Chinese label preparation before arrival. Review. (Note: The final Chinese label will be subject to the one approved by the Commodity Inspection Bureau after the goods arrive. Pre-review can only reduce the chance of errors and save the waiting time for the goods at the port)
