From 65438 to 0985, Zhuhai Special Economic Zone Industrial Development Corporation established "Zhuhai Special Economic Zone Guanxiong Plastic Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as "Guanxiong"). Although the equipment is advanced, it has been unsatisfactory for more than three years due to poor management. Then Zhu Jianghong returned to Zhuhai from Guangxi Baise Mining Machinery Factory and became the general manager of Guanxiong.

At the end of 1988, "Guanxiong" developed a series of household appliances with injection molded parts as the main accessories, and the trademark name was "Haile". Registered the "Haier" trademark, and Zhu Jianghong founded the "Gree" trademark.

1991August, Zhuhai Special Economic Zone Industrial Development Corporation decided to merge Guanxiong and Li Hai to establish Gree Air Conditioning Factory. Zhuhai Gree Electric Co., Ltd. was formally established, and "Lihai" brand air conditioner was officially renamed as "Gree" brand air conditioner.

From 199 1 to 1993, the newly established Gree Electric is an unknown small factory with only a simple production line and an annual output of only 20,000 window air conditioners.
