Dongjiu Family Banquet is a strong-flavor wine. Dongjiu is a kind of liquor with a very special brewing process among Chinese liquors. It uses high-quality sorghum as raw material, uses underground spring water from the Dalou Mountains in Guizhou as brewing water, prepares fermented grains from Xiaoqu and Xiaojiao, prepares fragrant fermented grains from Daqu and Dajiao, and "chuanxiang" the fermented grains. The style has the rich aroma of Daqu Liquor, the soft, mellow and sweet aftertaste of Xiaoqu Liquor, and the elegant and comfortable "baicaoxiang" plant aroma.
The production history of Dongjiu can be traced back to before the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties (AD 220-589). In the 1950s, the products were sent to superiors for appraisal, and the Prime Minister's Office of the State Council specifically issued instructions: "Dong's wine has good color, aroma and taste, and it is recommended to speed up its restoration and development." In 1963, after strict selection and evaluation by the National Wine Appraisal Conference, Dongjiu entered the ranks of "China's Eight Oldest Famous Wines" and subsequently won the title of "Chinese Famous Wines" for three consecutive years.
