Writing is the power of words to heal

Words are very powerful.

In fact, I would say that the power of words is one of the most powerful forces we have on this planet. This is why the creation myth says that the God who created the universe created the world with just words; this is why there is this multi-billion dollar industry that uses positive thinking to help us feel better and look better. Reasons to make our lives better. That's why we hold the words of Martin Luther King, C S Louis, John Steinbeck, Mother Teresa and thousands of other leaders in high regard.

This is why we say our vows on important occasions like weddings, write cards to friends on their birthdays and other anniversaries, and this is why shouting obscenities at passing drivers is considered unacceptable. Cause it's an insult. This is why a friend of mine sends a message to his wife every day before going to work. He told me that he wanted his wife to know how much he loved her. This is the power of language and words.

Language and writing can also spark a revolution and deliver a vital message to those who desperately need it. With just one word, we can calm our own inner fears and those of those we love deeply. Language and words can change everything. For example: He will not succeed. She's just a girl. you are so Beautiful. I can't stand it anymore. We'll be fine.

See, language and writing are everything, and yet most of us don't use them to their full potential, nor to their great strengths. We need to remember that language and words are the most powerful tools we have to create the life we ??desire. They are also often our most underutilized resources. So why don’t we harness the power of language to create the lives and worlds we dream of for ourselves, our neighbors, and our children?

The change you are looking for

Take 1 minute to think about what it is that you want to change in your life or in the world. Perhaps, they are relatively superficial things of little significance. For example, you want to lose weight, you want to get a raise, or you want to start flossing more regularly. Maybe there's something more lofty. Let’s say you want to realize your dream or vision, move into a big house, find your dream job, start your own company or start your own family.

Maybe the thing you want to change is the feeling that something is wrong in your life. For example, every morning you wake up with a slight feeling of anxiety and wish you were calmer. This may be how you feel in a certain relationship. Every time you try to talk to your spouse, or go home for Christmas, or try to get back into the dating scene. You all feel the same deep fear and you wish it were different. But it won't change no matter what you do.

Maybe you won’t forget about the life you want to change. Perhaps, for you, you are thinking more about how we take care of ourselves and change the world in which we live. Maybe the topic you care about is cyberbullying, drug addiction, school shootings, racism, or the gender pay gap. In this world, there are many problems that need to be solved and many changes that require our attention.

No matter what changes you want to see in your life or in the world you live in, you need to understand that the urge to change is human nature. The drive for growth and change is natural and evolving. It's hard to find someone who doesn't want to change themselves, their body and their life.

When you think back to the last time you tried to change yourself, your body and your life, you will find that this change is not easy. In fact, we first invested a lot of energy and effort in making changes, but didn't see much effect. When you think about the last time you tried to change—and I mean really change, something that was important to you. Ask yourself how many times have you repeated an old pattern of behavior when a new pattern of behavior has become second nature? Hundreds of times? How many years did it take? Feels like a lifetime? Or you simply don’t change the pattern of behavior.

Think about how many times you have started a new diet or started a new year and made a promise to yourself to go to the gym more often in the new year. As a result, at the end of the year, you still maintain your original weight and behavioral habits. It's like you're walking down the same street over and over again. You may think you are heading in a new direction. In some cases, you may feel that you have achieved a certain goal, and then suddenly you find that the old tree you passed before appears in front of you again.

We often hear people use the word "stuck". I am stuck in a rut in my life, in a broken relationship, in a self-destructive pattern, in a job that makes me feel terrible. Painful job, stuck in a city I hated, stuck in a world of worthless irrelevance?

Why? Are we lazy? Did we fail to observe discipline? Don’t we work as hard to change as we think we do? I don’t think any of these are real reasons, although they often keep us in a frustrating process of spinning in circles. However, we need to know that the lack of progress is not due to a lack of effort on our part. In fact, I've read a lot of research on this, and I can tell you with confidence that the reason we fall into negative patterns is not because of our willpower, discipline, good intentions, or our work ethic. It has to do with our brains. Thinking is closely related.

The human brain is an extraordinary organ designed for human survival. Although I'm not a neuroscientist. Simply put, our brains have mastered the skill of automating behavior to make our actions as simple as possible. We can think of it this way, when you make an action or even have an idea, a tiny message is transmitted from one brain cell to another, just like a messenger.

This path of information transmission is called a neural pathway, and the more times you travel this path, the more exhausted you will become. So when this little messenger, has been on this road, has been on this road 100 times, a thousand times or 10,000 times, he becomes so exhausted that your brain starts to worry when you do There is no need to stop and think before doing something. In fact, he did just that. You may be easily aware of this tendency because of your uncanny ability to drive to a place you lived 10 years ago but haven't visited in years, or to remember a friend who used phone number. This means that your brain is already automating this behavior.

From an evolutionary perspective, this is a great thing. Who wants to waste time thinking about how to brush their teeth or how to make mom’s signature chocolate chip cookies? Who needs to recall how they feel about someone every time they see them. No one has the time or energy to do those things when we have more important things to do.

But from the perspective of someone trying to change growing up and transcending the mistakes made by their past, their family, or their ancestors, this is why we often feel like we’ve run into old habits, and conventions. This is not because we are lazy or undisciplined, but because we are actually fighting against brain circuits that were engraved deep in our brains a long time ago. You may really want to change the path of your life, but the little messenger in your brain doesn't know how.

You don’t need to know everything there is to know about neuroscience or psychology about how the brain works right away. You just need to understand that you have a key that can be used to unlock the secrets in your brain and break out of those old tracks. When you realize that the old track no longer leads you to where you want to go, you need to find another path.

Writing can teach you to break old habits, change old paths, and find a new way forward.

More importantly, you need to know how you feel deep down. There, although not a life full of joy and confidence, there is all the abundance you can imagine. It's not impossible, it's within your power.

The change you seek is calmer, more satisfying, romantic intimacy, supportive friendships, the confidence to go after what you want and need without guilt, and a life filled with genuine Happiness, in fact, these things are at your fingertips.

The question, of course, is how do you escape that place that traps you and get to a place full of happiness? Writing is a simple, completely free way that anyone can use to get more of the happy life they want.

You don’t have to keep spinning in circles. Moreover, it doesn’t require you to invest more willpower, it doesn’t require you to be more disciplined, or it doesn’t even require you to spend more time.

How can we do this? That's writing, and it's incredible what you can do with this incredibly simple exercise.
