A: According to Article 9 of the Trademark Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) (hereinafter referred to as the Trademark Law) and Article 4 of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property (hereinafter referred to as the Paris Convention), any person of the Union for the Protection of Industrial Property or his successor who formally applies for trademark registration in a member country of the Paris Convention may apply for trademark registration in China within six months after the first application.
