Duota was built in the second year of Yuan Dynasty (AD 1334). It is a square three-stage stone tower, with a height of18m, a two-story pedestal (hence the name five-story tower) and a total tower height of 32m. When it was built in the early yuan dynasty, it was built with a whole piece of Taihu stone with serious surface peeling, and it was reinforced with cement in the Republic of China. There is an ancient carved Buddha statue on each side of each floor, which is now damaged and unrecognizable, leaving only the backlight.
On the first floor, there are dragon pillars standing at the four corners of the tower, with smooth carving and meticulous lines. Each floor has a stone fence with a platform, and the upper end of the fence post is carved with patterns to protect gods, lions and lotus flowers. The original railing on the abutment no longer exists. Twenty decapitated heads are carved on the eaves of the two-story tower, as if spitting water. This pagoda is in the shape of a lotus vase.
Duobaota is the oldest existing architectural tower in Zhoushan, and it is a fine architectural art in Yuan Dynasty. It is said that it is the most exquisite stone pagoda of the Yuan Dynasty found in Zhejiang. In May 2006, it was listed as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
Putuo Mountain Pagoda, located in the southeast of Fuzhai Temple in Putuo Mountain, near Hai Yin Pool, is named because it means "many pagodas" in Beijing dialect. It is the only oldest building in Putuo Mountain that keeps its original appearance. It is the only remaining palace building in Nanjing Forbidden City in Ming Dynasty, located in Fayu Temple. It is a Guanyin tablet carved by an according to the Guanyin statue painted by Yan, a famous painter in the early Tang Dynasty, and it is a rare species in Foding Mountain.
Many pagodas are 32 meters high, surrounded by five floors, and the platforms have no eaves, all of which are made of Taihu stone. There is an ancient Buddha carved on the three floors and four sides of the tower, which is beautiful and generous, especially the Guanyin icon, which is gentle and dignified, giving people a sense of kindness and majesty. The background is eighteen arhats, each with a different look. A stone fence is placed on each platform, and the end of the stone fence column is engraved with patterns such as patron saint and lion lotus. The base of the ground floor is wide, with the pillars on the table engraved with the lion and lotus, and 20 faucets carved under the surrounding pillars, which spit water with their mouths open and have vivid shapes. The four corners of the top floor are decorated with banana leaves and mountain flowers, which is very architectural style of Yuan Dynasty. This tower was rebuilt by Buddhist monk Fu Zhong, a mountain monk, and was funded by Prince Wang Xuan and other vassal states in the south of the Yangtze River, so this tower was built and the Prince Tower was built next to it. 19 19, the master and abbot Yu and Liao Qing asked the lay people to raise money to make up for it. Multi-tower is a typical architectural technology in Yuan Dynasty, which is listed as a provincial key cultural relic and one of the three treasures of Putuo Mountain. Kang Youwei once wrote the word "seamount first" on the rockery in Tayuan. Every morning, I hear the bells from the nearby ancient temples such as Fossett, which makes it quieter. This is one of the twelve scenic spots in Putuo Mountain, the "Pagoda Smelling Bell" scenic spot.
