Shuikou Reservoir is located in Fujian Province, China with the coordinates of 2618'1"n16 5438+08 48' 44" e/26.30306n16 5438+08.86438+. 1 18.8 1222, a large (I) reservoir with power generation as its main function and flood control and navigation as its main function, is a river reservoir. The dam site is located in Xia Nian Village, Xiongjiang Town, Minqing County. The downstream is 14km from Meicheng Town in Minqing County, 84km from Fuzhou City, and the upstream is 1 1km from Shuikou Town in Gutian County, and 94km from Nanping City. The reservoir covers an area of 99.6 square kilometers, with a catchment area of 52,438 square kilometers and a maximum storage capacity of 2.6 billion cubic meters. The reservoir started on March 9th 1987 and was completed on March 29th 1996+065438. The reservoir dam is a concrete gravity dam.
After the Shuikou Reservoir was impounded on1March 3, 19931day, frequent seismic activities were induced. By June 2008, there were more than 4,800 earthquakes, including 4 earthquakes of magnitude 4 or above. 2 1, 1, April 26th, 0996, ML4. 1 earthquake was the first earthquake with magnitude above 4, and March 6th, 2008, ML4.8 earthquake was the largest earthquake that has occurred so far.
